What does moisture in the compressed air do to filters and pulse valves, and how do you prevent it?
Wet air turns the dust cake to paste so it won't shed — blinding bags and keeping DP high; in cold weather trapped moisture can freeze pulse valves. Dry the air with a desiccant dryer, drain condensate routinely, and winterize exposed lines and valves.
How do you wire the solenoid coil of a Xiechang electromagnetic pulse valve?
For DC24V or AC220V standard coils: unscrew the M3 screw, remove the terminal block, unscrew the gland from the cover, thread the signal wires in, connect the input signal wires to the signal terminals and the earth wire to the ground terminal (AC220V coils must be grounded), then reassemble and tighten the M3 screw.
What precautions should be taken before, during and after installing an electromagnetic pulse valve?
Before: clean the tank/blow pipe/valve faces, fit an inlet filter + regulator and a bottom drain valve for clean dry air. During: lubricate the immersed-valve O-ring, keep the valve perpendicular to the blow pipe, use PTFE tape, one control circuit per valve. After: no welding on the tank once the valve is fitted, keep pulse width 80–150 ms, insulate in cold climates and bleed the tank before removal.
What are the main internal components of a Xiechang electromagnetic pulse valve?
From the coil down: solenoid coil and connector, moving iron-core (armature) with its spring, pilot tube, pilot valve seat and pilot spring, the universal (pilot) diaphragm, the valve cover, the large spring, the large main diaphragm, and the valve body — held by M4/M5/M8/M10 fasteners. The coil-driven pilot section controls the large diaphragm that opens and closes the main air flow.
What is the Xiechang DXK pilot controller and air-controlled (pneumatic) pulse valve system?
The DXK pilot controller (8, 10 or 12 solenoid positions) drives air-controlled pulse valves through compressed-air lines instead of wiring each valve individually. Controller and air-controlled valves (Z/Y/ZM/T types) must be used together, connected with Ø8 mm semi-rigid nylon tube rated 1 MPa, kept under 1.5 m long.
What compressed-air pressure should feed the pulse valves, and where should it be measured?
Supply clean dry air at the valve's rated blow pressure and measure it at the manifold, not at a distant plant-air point. Xiechang valves run 0.2–0.6 MPa; general pulse-jet practice is around 6 bar (90 PSI) where valves are rated for it. Never exceed the valve's rated maximum.
